“Jesus was Rock and Roll.” I’ve heard this expression before, but we all know, Jesus came first.
Rock and Roll would not be rock and roll without Jesus. True Rock and Roll believes in something. It believes that something’s not right, that something needs to be said, something needs to be done, to take what’s wrong with our world and make it right.
Jesus is that Right, transforming everything wrong into what it was always meant to be.
True Rock and Roll stands on a stage, screaming truth on a microphone, for the entire world to hear. It’s always subversive against the world’s status quo, bucking the old way of doing things that for so long has held us in oppression, freeing us from its slavery.
Jesus is Rock and Roll.
